BRAIN and NERVE accepts online thesis submissions. If you would like to submit a thesis online, please read the following and carry out the submission procedures.
1. Before Submission
Please confirm the following information regarding submission.
•Please confirm the “Information for Authors.”
•Please prepare the manuscript as an electronic file in accordance with the submission regulations.
•Please confirm the ID and password* for submission.
*The ID and password are written on the “あとがき” page at the end of this magazine. If you have any questions, please contact the editing office (bn@igaku-shoin.co.jp).
2. Procedure
Submissions will follow the below procedure.
1) Input of ID and password for submission (Page 1)
2) Input of the title, number of pages in the manuscript, number of figures and tables, and your contact information (Page 2)
3) Upload of the manuscript file (Page 3)
4) Confirmation and submission of the input information (Page 4)
5) Issuance of a provisional receipt number (Page 5)
3. Important Notes
•Please be sure to input items marked with an *. You cannot proceed to the next page without input for these items.
•Please do not use machine dependent characters.
•For the manuscript file, please compose the following (1) through (4) within a total of 50MB and combine these into a single zip folder.
(1) Please combine the main text (title page, abstract, keywords, main text, references, explanation of figures and tables) into one file.
(2) If there are multiple tables, please combine these into one file.
(3) When inserting figures, please prepare them at their actual size in publication with a resolution of 350dpi or above in a format such as JPEG, GIF, or TIFF. For photo montages, please combine them into a one-page layout.
(4) If resubmitting, please send the previously submitted manuscript and a summary of the revisions in the same zip folder.

4. Other Information

•System maintenance is performed daily from 2:00 A.M. to 3:00 A.M. Submissions cannot be made from this form during maintenance periods. Additionally, if you are logged in before the maintenance period, please be careful as at 2:00 A.M. the data input up to that point will be lost.
